In January 2021, Telis simultaneously commenced articles at a prominent South African property law firm and an LLM in the field of business and commercial law. Telis specialised in commercial, retail and industrial property law, a field which cemented his passion for all contract and property related law.

In these roles, he has become a well-respected practitioner, successfully litigating at trial and conducting in-house training and media interviews. Telis has represented South Africa’s largest listed and unlisted landlords in both property transfers and litigation – and assisted in drafting South Africa’s most widely used residential lease agreement.
